Architects & Engineers: One of the clients I served as a broker was a specialized Architects and Engineers insurer.
Asbestos: I have served as an executive officer in companies running off several billion dollars in asbestos reserves. I have also underwritten and broked loss portfolios, stop loss covers for asbestos.
Automobile Liability/Property: Underwrote commercial auto for The Travelers, and as a facultative underwriter. Also underwrote auto liability on a treaty basis.
Bad Faith/Eco: Have underwritten ECO in policies and reinsurance.
Captives/Risk Retention Groups: As CEO of Risk Transfer Underwriting, Inc., we woked extensively with captives and Risk Retention Groups.

Finite: I was involved from the early days of finite reinsurance in the 1980's. Structured and underwrote for Munich Re and it was a principal part of the business of Risk Transfer Underwriting where I served as CEO. I also purchased finite covers as CEO.
Healthcare: At Risk Transfer Underwriting, worked with major health organizations on various insurance products to cap losses or remove losses from balance sheets. Have also worked with healthcare organizations to assist in creating treatment programs (i.e. addiction) that would be covered under workers compensation.
Insolvencies: Responsible for the run-off of one of the largest insolvencies in the US - Transit Casualty Company in Receivership. Testified before Congress on insurance solvency, in that context.
International: I sit on panels overseas, and can hear cases in Spanish, and issue decisions written in Spanish.
Life: Executive officer of Australia's largest life insurer at the time, AMP, which was the parent company of GIO Insurance, where I served as CEO.
Lloyd's: Have worked extensively with Lloyds as a broker, and in run-off. Have broked business to Lloyds and have collected claims from Lloyds.
London Company Market: Served as CEO of a London Company Market - GIO UK. Have also broked business to the company market and have collected reinsurance from the London Company market.
Long Term Disability: Was involved in consulting on the restructuring of two long term disability companies. I have not underwritten or handled claims in the space.

Professional Liability/Errors &, Omissions: Worked in the medical malpractice unit at The Travelers, then transferred to the legal malpractice underwriting unit. I spent a great deal of time transitioning the book of legal malpractice from occurrence coverage to claims made. Have underwritten facultative and treaty reinsurance for malpractice and have overseen the claims operations for professional liability coverage.
Regulatory/Licensing: As an executive officer, regulatory interaction was an integral part of my responsibilities. Been involved in Form A hearings for mergers, aquisitions and sales. Have worked with regulators on solvency issues, including guaranty funds. I also file with insurance regulators annually as a director, and have met the "fit and proper" criteria in the UK and Australia for service as an insurance executive or director.
Third Party Administrator: Extensive work with TPA's. As an executive office of a WC direct writer, all business was handled through TPA's. In the loss portfolio arena, TPA's factor significantly in my experience.
Toxic Tort: Have overseen claims departments settling hundreds of millions of dollars in toxic tort liabilities.
Workers' Compensation: Underwrote WC at The Travelers. Also underwrote on a facultative and treaty basis. Was CEO of a carrier issuing WC policies, and underwrote reinsurance, loss portfolios and stop loss business for WC.
